Console hacker faces up to ten years in Jail

According to the AP, a 27-year old student of CSU named Mathew Crippen was arrested for Modifying Xbox, Playstation and Wii consoles in violation of the “digital Millennium Act.” He was released on Monday on $5,000 bond. The tip was given by the entertainment Software association, and the raid was conducted by Custom Agents in may.

Mathew will be arraigned on August 10th and if he is found guilty, will face up to ten years in prison.

So to all you nerds out there thinking the government is not watching, pay attention. Enjoy your freedom and leave the modifying to the Console makers, ok?
