Evan Wells: No work yet on Uncharted 3, prepping DLC for Uncharted 2

People have been wondering what's the Naughty Dog team doing next, some wonder will they bring Jax and Daxter to the PS3, will they create a brand new IP or are the top dogs hard at work on another Uncharted installment. Well if the co-president of Naughty Dog is to be believed, right now there's nothing new in the works, only Uncharted 2 DLC preparation, and a much needed vacation. Speaking to Game Informer, Evan was asked whether the team had started work on Uncharted 3 to which he replied:

"I like how you tried to get me to confirm development on Uncharted 3! You're very smooth. In actuality, we haven't begun work on our next project. Many people are taking much deserved vacation, but we also have a bunch of people diving into our DLC and making improvements to the multiplayer that we want to roll out right around launch. When people are back from vacation, we'll have our post mortems, and then we'll begin brainstorming on what comes next."

Interesting interview, see the full thing here. After reading it in full, I came out with the sense that the Naughty Dogs might work on an installment of Jak and Daxter for the PS3, just a feeling, one I hope comes true. If they decide to go ahead with it, expanding their team will be a must, since I don't believe Sony will allow them to go for too long without starting development on Uncharted 3. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be released in 6 days in America, and 9 days from today in Europe.
