As of late the buzz about GT5 and Forza 3 seems to have dominated the racing game conversation. Those games are all well and good if you're looking to take a simulated stroll around the neighborhood, but Split/Second is looking to be the next contender for arcade racing crown currently held by Burnout.
This game looks like pure arcade madness with everything from buildings, to jets, to giant ships crashing to the ground all at your control in an attempt to get a leg up on the competition. The folks at Black Rock Studios have already shown us they can make an intense arcade driving game like PURE so lets hope we get the same intense action this time around. Things are looking good so Far.
Split/Second is set for release in 2010 on PS3, XBOX360 and PC.
