It's quite obvious that Nintendo has not been making very good choices during this console cycle, (apart from making billions off the Wii) and it's seriously showing now. But according to Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, demos of their WiiWare titles will finally be released as early as this month.
I suppose it's better late then never, but if Nintendo had done this from the very beginning of the Wii's lifespan, players would have been much more involved in the Wii's Shop Channel and in turn, the console would be doing better. Not that it's done bad in the past, but recently, things have gone south, with Iwata himself stating that "the Wii has stalled."
How do you push forward something's that's stalled? By bringing to the table new offerings, hence the release of Wiiware title demos. Simple.
