Microsoft has no plans to introduce a Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360

This would not be an issue if company CEO Steve Ballmer hadn't seemingly confirmed that blu-ray accessories would come to the Xbox 360. But now it is and Larry Hyrb AKA Major Nelson posted on his blog that MS has "no plans" to introduce a Blu-ray add-on for the Xbox 360.

"During an interview yesterday, Steve Ballmer was asked about Blu-ray and the Xbox 360. I wanted to clear something up. Steve was referring to Blu-ray accessories for PC. As we have said in the past, we have no plans to intoduce a Blu-ray drive for the Xbox 360," Major Nelson said on his blog.

Video Thirst: Major Nelson: PS3 will soon be collecting dust

Old news, maybe, Juicy stuff? Hec yes. Major Nelson told HipHopGamer at this year's E3 that the PS3 will soon be collecting dust, thanks to Metal Gear Solid: Rising going Multiplatform.

"I'm going to be happy when I come to your place next time and I see your PS3 off with dust on it," Nelson said.

"That's all I want to say," he concluded.

You sure that's all you want to say Major? Cause if you keep track of NPD, your hope it seems, have been dashed. Sure you don't want to backpedal Major? Ok, no problem, just watch your mouth next time, it'll get you in trouble.
