If your a fan of the classic anime and manga series Fist of the North Star then keep your fingers crossed. Kotaku is reporting that a Japanese release for PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 of Fist of the North Star dubbed Hokuto Musou will drop sometime in March 2010. The game is based on the Dynasty Warriors Engine for the current gen systems.
Although no official stateside or EU release date has been set, it can almost be assured that Koei will not let an opportunity to sell another DW based game outside Japan pass. Personally I have never been a big fan of the DW style game-play but a huge fan of Fist of the North Star and I'm definitely looking forward to this one. From available screenshots it is almost assured this will be a M rated game with tons of post apocalyptic baddies exploding in a spray of blood.
If your not familiar with the Fist of the North Star story then take a moment to check out the complete anime series over at Funimation. Much like DBZ, which followed in its tracks, the story takes a back seat to the pure action, but hey its still a fun series. Just don't try to watch all 152 episodes in one setting or like so many of the bad guys your head might explode in a fine mist of red stuff.
