There's a popular proverb that encourages people never to lose hope, it says don't look on how rough or impossible the path might seem, things will always get better. While the proverb rings true for many situations, there are times when wisdom must be used to judge whether there's any chance of change, or should one move past the situation.
Here's the thing, PS3 owners enjoy a wide range of exclusive games that can only be found on said console, but there are a few that don't seem very stable on the Xbox 360, and PS3 owners are just waiting for the day when an announcement is made that'll send fireworks all around the gaming community.
Imagine what would happen if EA and Bioware announced Mass Effect 2 for PS3, things would go wild, fanboys would jump and skip. How about Ubisoft announcing Splinter Cell: Conviction for the black behemoth? Yeah, that too would get a lot of attention. Well this is one time gamers should get past hope and move on, because these Xbox 360 exclusives won't come to PS3.
Splinter Cell: Conviction: Before I go on explaining why Splinter Cell: Conviction will only be found on the Xbox 360, I asked myself why not take the truth from the horse's mouth? Here's Ubisoft:
"Splinter Cell: Conviction is a true Microsoft exclusive title and there are no plans to have Splinter Cell: Conviction on other platforms," Ubi said in a Q&A session on the company's official forums. "There are several reasons behind this choice. First of all Splinter Cell games are historically linked with Microsoft platforms.
"The first Splinter Cell on the original Xbox was one of the first games to fully exploit the console's technical possibilities. At that time, Microsoft really believed in the game's potential and provided strong support to promote it. So, there is a "link of heart" between the franchise and the platform. Some games are like this (think of Final Fantasy for instance).
The second reason behind this choice is purely linked to production. Having a single platform means we can optimize the game even further because we only have one type on console - hardware support."
The second reason behind this choice is purely linked to production. Having a single platform means we can optimize the game even further because we only have one type on console - hardware support."
And there you have it folks, there's no need to say more.
Mass Effect 2:
Recently the internet caught ablaze when EA Russia had Mass Effect 2 listed as coming to both the Xbox 360 and PS3, however the controversy was clarified when the publishing giant stated that it was just glitch and Mass Effect 2 will only be available for Xbox 360 and PC. The thing is, Bioware is owned by EA, and EA is an independent company, so PS3 owners have at the back of their heads that anytime news might break and before you know it, the stellar RPG will be headed PS3's way.
Well sorry, but that won't happen. Maybe Mass Effect 3.
Left 4 Dead 2: Another game published by EA that mysteriously showed up on the company's website as also coming to the PS3 platform. EA claimed it was a mistake, however someone at the company even took the time to mock up a game box for a PS3 version. So if indeed it's a mistake, it's a pretty mammoth one. Valve has gone on record stating that they'll stick to PC and Xbox 360, because according to them, the PS3 is just too difficult to develop for.
Microsoft at E3 09, claimed that the game is an Xbox 360 exclusive and by the look of things it is indeed true. The game's been out for some time now, and I see no PS3 version. Not now, nor in the future.
Gears of War III:
We've already killed this rumor, but Gears of War design director Cliffy B. wanted to add some extra nails to the coffin:
"Honestly, there's really no plans for any Gears on PS3 anytime soon, which I can confirm," he told Kotaku radio.
Cliffy then went on to say "you would see a Metal Gear Solid game on Xbox 360 before you see a Gears of War game on PS3."
So stop dreaming, wake up and smell the coffee or hot cocoa, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and Gears of War III will remain exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox 360, therefore if you want to play these games, go out and buy the console.

The only game I want on this list is Splinter Cell: Conviction
ReplyDeleteerr. a metal gear solid game on the xbox360 is upcoming. so is GoW3 going to be on the ps3 now? this is bull. ='c
ReplyDeletemeh i can care less just look at are sofware line up for 2010 goodbye xbox:P
ReplyDeleteonly game there i want is mass effect and with the way EA is pampering sony lately it's gonna come if not 2 then 3 but mass effect isn't gonna stay exclusive.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous said...
ReplyDeleteNot arguing about them...Will they come out for the PS3? Probably not. Does it mean that we'll never see them on the PS3? Probably no.
Splinter Cell has a long history of first coming out to the Xbox brand then making it's appearance n the PlayStation brand. I would not shock me in the least if by summer 2010 Ubisoft will have a PS3 version of this game out.
Mass Effect is now owned by EA and those having it's fate up in air especially since the PS3 is on the rise and according to latest figures EA posted they make more money from PS3 games then they do on 360 so I won't be surprised at all if we see the Mass Effect IP make his PS3 debut at some point. I still fully instead on playing Mass Effect 2 on my 360 though.
Gear of War is really no argument there. It will be an 360 exclusive though it does not mean Epic won't make a multi platform game/s based on the Gears of War universe.
None of these are exclusives there all on PC and that dumbass dev said youl see a MGS game on the 360 before gears on the ps3 trying to act all sarcastic what about MGS rising?!?
ReplyDeleteokay Mass Effect 2 Wont be on ps3, The first one wasn't. This one wont be. Probably not the third neither.
ReplyDeleteBut here's the kicker. Mass Effect Trilogy will be released on both consoles. If that doesn't happen. Well EA is just stupid.
I wish they would use the term console exclusive rather than just exclusive, it would save the tired old "its not exclusive, it's on PC" comments in these stories/articles. Best way is to own PC/360 and PS3 that way you never get your knickers in a twist over such goings on.
ReplyDeleteAlan wake is missing too as it is a CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE.
ReplyDeleteI have no interest in any of these games. Hate all Tom Clancy games, books (especially books! He is a terrible author.), movies, etc.
ReplyDeleteMass Effect. What? Who even gives a shit.
Left 4 Dead 2. Umm...
As for Gears of War, I was over Gears of War the moment a friend brought his 360 to my house and started playing the original a couple years ago.
You can keep every last one of these games. I'm happy with my PS3 and the exclusive games it offers. Like, umm, how amazing was MGS4!? You can try all you want to develop a MGS game for the 360, but I want you to remember one important term "Blu-Ray Disc"
Oh how much better my PS3 games look on my 40" LCD than a 360 game would. Plus with all that money I saved on a blu-ray player I could buy...well...a couple 360s eh?
funny thing about splinter cell conviction. it isnt a 360 exclusive..... its comming out for DS LMAO poor 360 xD
ReplyDeleteI could really care less about those stupid games. Gears of War was made for young teenagers. Mass Effect 2 doesn't appeal to me because the graphics look last gen. After playing Killzone 2 and looking at Gran Turismo 5 pictures on the internet, everything on the xbox 360 looks last gen. Splinter Cell looks pretty good, but the game play looks boring. You need to face it xbox owners. None of your games appeal to me. I am too busy thinking about Gran Turismo 5 and Heavy Rain that are exclusively coming out for the PS3. You need to stop wasting my time on explaining how your system is superior to the ps3. I am not going to invest in a shitty system that has shitty games. How many times has your xbox360 crashed? lol How long are you going to continue to suck Bill Gates dick by supporting his system? I guess any adult who plays Gears of War must be a fag. Maybe writing isn't your forte. Aren't you trying to convince your audience that xbox 360 is better than the ps3? You are doing a lousy job it.
ReplyDeleteGears is only good for the campaign. Mass Effect and Splinter Cell suck. Left for Dead 2 is ok. I love my Xbox but as far as comparing exclusives? PS3 kills Xbox there. I could go through the list but everyone already knows.
ReplyDeleteOnly Gears will be exclusive.
ReplyDeletenever say never. first of all, these games were made and published by third party companies. the future could change. even though you said it came from the horse's mouth, duh, the horse may be lying. because it might be timed exclusive, so they'll say nope, never coming to ps3. where the hell did you get the idea that ps3 fanboys were dreaming about the games you mentioned? the ps3 have enough exclusive games already and i can say that it will never come to xbox cause it's made by first party developers. that's the true exclusive.
ReplyDeleteout of the games you mentioned, only gears of war is a true exclusive, because microsoft owns the gears franchise, but not the developer, so any future games of that said developer could potentially land on the ps3.
okay, did you get it already? do i have to spell it for you? well, i want those third party exclusives to come to the PS3 just so as I could mock xbots. take that!!!
If i wanted them i would buy a 360

I love Splinter Cell: Conviction and Mass Effect 2.....
ReplyDeleteI need an Xbox 360.... Seriously!
Meh, none of those games you mentioned is owned by MS, believe me, eventually, they'll appear on the PS3!!!!
ReplyDelete^ MS owns the Gears IP idiot, and even if they didn't, you think they'd let it go? They have more money than God.
ReplyDeleteKill yourself.
People once said that Sonic would never join Mario, yet years later we have mario and sonic at the olympic winter games. Never say Never when it comes to games.
ReplyDeleteAlso for the OP, Splinter Cell series has NEVER been just a one console exclusive game. The very first Splinter Cell was on PS2,GameCube,xbox,ect.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Splinter_Cell_(video_game)
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow was also NOT a one console exclusive game, as this was also on PS2,xbox GameCube, ect.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_Splinter_Cell:_Pandora_Tomorrow
Same as, Chaos Theory / Double Agent ( on PS3 also . Even S-Cell Essentials was on PSP.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Clancy's_Splinter_Cell
So to be honest the OP is a ( LETS HOPE IT SAYS AN EXCLUSIVE ON THE 360 ) kind of person. Even though S-Cell will come to the PS3 as it has done so on the other SONY consoles.
Now EA has already said that they sell more games on the PS3 than the xbox 360. Mass Effect was out when the PS3 was not doing as good as the 360 console.
BUT how times have changed, the PS3 is selling better than 360 now. So where people say Mass Effect is a exclusive they are wrong.
The game is on PC and is much better on there than the console version. But i think that where EA have already got a place made for them in HOME on the PS3/PSN i really think that a blu-ray Disc could hold both Mass-Effect 1&2. ( Just like God Of War 1&2 )
So Mass Effect IMO after looking at EA's HOME space, telling everyone that they sell more games on PS3 than the 360 console, i really think the game is a timed console exclusive, and will be on PS3 sooner or later.
Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 are not very good, they look last gen with the crap graphics in game. Once you have played REAL console exclusives like Killzone 2, MGS4, Uncharted 2, ect, why would anyone want this on the PS3.? The PC version is much better looking than the 360 version but even so the PC version still looks like a last gen game.
Gears Of War 3, LOL... Have you played gears of war 2 ? Reason i ask that is this.
EVERYONE that has been a fan of GOW series will tell you that GOW 1 is the better game. That GOW 2 is a lag feast online, nick named ( Lag Of War 2 ).
The first GOW was really good, then they made part two, which was too easy to complete compared to the 1st GOW, the graphics looked better in Gears Of War 1 than they did in GOW 2, and Online is MUCH better on GOW1 than part two. GOW 2 is a broken game compared to part 1. I have 1&2 but will not be buying part three due to the crap GOW 2.
I think that this will be better than GOW anyway due to being faster, more action, not so set out like GOW..Quantum-Theory.
http://g4tv.com/videos/41613/Quantum-Theory-TGS-2009-Trailer/
conviction and mass effect 2 are coming to PC and L4D2 is best on PC so I guess the choice is obvious. Own a PS3 and Gaming PC.
ReplyDeletewill people stop bitching? yeesh, he's trying to make the point thats its UNLIKELY to happen, not that it never will. and anyways theres always people saying 'oh xbox sucks, PS3's the best', yeah, ps3 may have VERY slightly better graphics and less tendency to crash, but the games are more expensive due to the fact theyr on blu-ray, and alot of people can't be bothered to fork out £200 for a console with a nifty lil player installed in it when they can get a perfectly good xbox360 for £150 or less and get a few games too. Sorry but it just annoys me that everyone fights one console over another, nothings better than another, its the persons opinion of the product. for all we know in the future Microsoft and Sony may team up and make a console together. Unlikely but still possible
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how people totally ignore the term 'TRUE MICROSOFT EXCLUSIVE' in the comment made by the ubisoft exec. Um Microsoft makes both PC and Xbox 360. Most exclusives will always be on PC also. Plus every PS3 owner i know act like they have a gaming PC. I mean some do but not EVERYONE. Me i could care less cuz i own all 3.
ReplyDeletetheres 2 much bitching xbox is better no ps3 is, theres no massive difference between the consoles, XBOX does kick ps3 ass with online stability especially on COD MW2 but beeing free makes a difference aswell
ReplyDeleteLBDz,
ReplyDeleteTo the person that said this..
(((( ps3 may have VERY slightly better graphics and less tendency to crash, but the games are more expensive due to the fact theyr on blu-ray, and alot of people can't be bothered to fork out £200 for a console with a nifty lil player installed in it when they can get a perfectly good xbox360 for £150 or less and get a few games too. ))))
That mate is BS !! You can buy a PS3 slim with a game for £199.99 in Asda's for a start. Also with the PS3 you don't need to pay extra for Wi-Fi ( unlike the 360's extra cost of £50.00 approx )PLUS theres no cost on the PS3 for using the wireless controllers ( Unlike the 360's controllers that cost £80.00 a year approx in batteries ) PLUS you get a MUCH better built console with a lower failure rating, that also holds BETTER tech than the 360 console.
example...
7.1 Surround Sound / Blu-Ray player / Wi-Fi Built in / Bluetooth / Upgradeable HDMI for 3D gaming, ( Unlike 360's 1.2 standard HDMI ) that not upgradeable, which says that the PS3 is more future proof than the 360.
The games for the PS3 are the same price as the xbox 360's, but the PS3 games hold their price value better than the 360 games when selling them online, like e-bay for instance.
it really shows the ignorance of some of the people posting when you hear them say they have no interest in mass effect 2, L4D2, splinter cell conviction, alan wake, etc. etc.. any individual posting such comments could not possibly have played the games in question.. if they did they would realize games like mass effect are utterly brilliant.. the same goes for 360 devotees who say they have no interest in god of war, heavy rain, or uncharted.. fanboys have no interest because they have never experienced the great titles on the competing system.. which is your choice.. but don't make yourself look like a complete douche by disparaging games on a console you can't play..wake up
ReplyDeleteThis list is ridiculous. Let's start with Splinter Cell: Conviction. When a Ubisoft rep was asked to confirm it's 360 exclusivity he said "There's always hope for Splinter Cell: Conviction on PS3." which hardly confesses Ubisoft's undying love for the 360. Then there's the small fact that every SC game so far has been on Playstation.
ReplyDeleteME2 was already confirmed to be coming to PS3 thanks to a leak on EA's Russian website. Time and time again Bioware have refused to say it's a 360 exclusive, they always reply with "We have nothing to announce at the moment.".
As for Gears Of War 3.....again, Cliffy B said "No plans for Gears on PS3 ANY TIME SOON.". What did he not say? "No plans for Gears on PS3 ever.".
Theese rumours have hardly been killed, you might as well go ahead and declare that Bioshock will never come to the PS3 after previously being announced as 360 - only, whoops!
PS3 and gaming PC is all you need!
ReplyDeletelol none of them is exclusive Oo they come for PC!
ReplyDeleteWhy the hell would I need those games? Oh bloody noes, I'm just dying for those games! If I wanted Mass Effect 2 or 1, I can get it for my PC and fix it up. Seriously, this list fails.
ReplyDeleteFirst let me start with saying I hate the very weak argument all PS3 owners use " oh it's not an exclusive becuase it's coming out on the PC' That is Bull!!! The PC market is owned by Microsoft. Second this crap that PS3 lineup for 2010 lookks better than the 360 is your opinon. Why is it better? GOW3, GT, Heavy Rain? What makes those games better than SC:C, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2, or Halo Reach? I own both PS3 and Xbox and can not say I find any of those games better than the other. i want to play them all except for GT. PS3 owners stop your crying about how much better you PS3 lineup is becuase it is weak. Is it better cause it on your console, if those 360 game were on your console, and the PS3 were on the 360, would cry how those are better. I swear I hate how PS3 fangirls cry and cry and cry. Stop being fangirls and embrace each console and enjoy gaming.
ReplyDeleteIts hillarious how many PS3 fanboys came on here just to bash 360 exclusives. Feeling a tad insecure about ourselves so much that we have to bash on consoles that aren't good cuz "I don't have one" bull shit you know your just jealous cuz you want one but you've spent so much time "bashing" that if you got it now you'd just be a hypocrate. So go home MGS4 sucs nads I fell asleep playing it. And who the Hell cares about Resistance, only interesting thiong to me is MAG. So go home fanboys. Nobodys like you.. Never will. Homos =P
ReplyDelete"Why is it better? GOW3, GT, Heavy Rain?"
ReplyDelete+ MAG, Last Guardian, Resistance 3, ModNation Racers, Ape Escape, Agent, Agency, DC Universe Online, Final Fantasy XIV, White Knight Chronicles, Yakuza 3, Free Realms...
I don't have a 360 so i don't associate myself with losers like yourself.
ReplyDeleteXbox is mixed up with PC. i'm a PS3 fan-boy and i must say that if i wanted to play your so-called EXCLUSIVE games then i'll just play it on my ALIENWARE pc. i dont want to argue but the guy above me is one fanboy. MGS4 is boring? heh. truth be told, alan wake cant keep up with heavy rain. splinter cell is nothing to compared to MGS4. you know that. MAG, UNCHARTED, and many more. those games will be available for PS3 only. but i cant say it'll stay exclusive but for now, you just don't have a chance. So, to sum all that up, next time you write an article, you should write what "game brands" not just titles and you should consider putting up CONSOLE EXCLUSIVES on your title.
ReplyDelete"Stop dreaming, these four game brands which are ONLY for 360 won't come to your PS3."
i'm the guy from my comment above, ^. i tell you PS3 just have better CONSOLE EXCLUSIVES. seriously accept that. oh and did i mention that i also bought the 360? except for when i had to bought it 3 times over and over again becos of that RROD. and did i mention all of the 3 i own, were ELITES?? MS WARRANTY you say? well i dont live in a place where that is available. my last 360, lasted 3 days. i started becoming a fanboy of PS3 since this year becos last year, when i heard what PS3 will get this year and when i was aware of so many weak things about XBOX, i liked PS3 so much and that lead me to change to another brand, for the better.
ReplyDeleteP.S. (2 of my 3) 360's were Jasper set.
Splinter Cell: Conviction and Mass Effect 2 r not exclusives. When will u Xbots get that?
ReplyDeletewell, I think these exclusives quit tempting but all of them are third party so If Microsoft doesn't pay for every new sequel am sure none of them will remain exclusive
ReplyDeletePS3 fanboys have you guys ever heard the term CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE? Not surprised that PS3 fanboys are dumb enough not to know its meaning.
ReplyDeleteIT MEANS only available on one console.
First of all other splinter cell games have been multiplatform. Ubisoft is also a third party :O no way. actually i just went on ign look what i see here. i would use wiki but that can be changed
ReplyDeletehttp://xbox360.ign.com/objects/902/902601.html
scroll down let me quote this for you "also on pc,ds,ps3,cell(which is mobile phones),wii,ps2"
if its on pc its a hybrid exclusive. yes microsoft owns a majority of the pc market but the games are still playable on macs or any linux distro if you port it over with cider tools so it works on mac, or you run a compatability emulator on linux distros.
lets take a gander at ign again for mass effect 2
http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/142/14236013.html
"also on PS3,PC"
while me 1 says also on pc. so a saints row /sr2 move again?
I am not sure if these are errors but ign usually doesnt put it in also on etc etc unless they know something. and no its on april fools. because if we look up gears 3 its says exclusively on 360 as does gears 2 and gears says also on pc.
and for some odd reason left for dead 1 says its also on ps3 pc, but left 4 dead 2 says also on pc.
considering EA is third party and they are making booku bucks off ps3 sales i also wouldnt be suprised if they ported it over.
and at op when valve says its too hard to learn ps3 development they just are too lazy to learn a new architecture. developing for the 360 is similar as the pc which is what they usually work with.
console exclusive is hard to say lol handhelds have the the hardware of consoles 10 years ago. wii has the hardware of last gen consoles, 360 and ps3 have the hardware of pc but each one of them is a console. they are all computers in one shape or another. hell even phones (iphone) and mp3 players (zune HD,itouch) have the hardware of older consoles. they are just portable consoles.
splitter cell conviction possible meaning a slight chance that it will be on playstation 3.Ubisoft never said it was'nt going to be and never will it maybe in the future like bioshock and other games that was'nt released until a year later and don't get all happy xbox did you know 4 out of 5 tiles that ubisoft is making is only for playstation oh nooo too bad ubisoft is very comfortable with sony and maybe in the near future will only be for sony they have a very good relationship with sony then xbox or wii so do your homework before confirming anything
ReplyDeleteEh.....I just care about Splinter Cell Conviction and thats what probley about half the people here only care about. O well im covered tho i own a PS3 and 360 ^_^. But PS3 is my fav personal.
ReplyDeleteI noticed there is not alot of fanboy bashing going on in this section.Hmmmmmmmmm does that tell you something
how can those games be 360 exclusives when I can play them on my Sony Vaio laptop?
ReplyDeleteanyway, they said the same about Bioshock so you shouldn't talk about things you don't know
well honestly in my book i dnt care for those games.....Splinter Cell is the only 1 i wont mind but dnt really care anyways. gears is wack, mass effect never interested me, l4d is fun but not that serious, the fact that 360 needs a former ps3 exclusive says it all....ps3 dnt need none of ur bull, we good with wat we got to ourselves....im good as long as God of War 3 dnt shift (which it wont :p lol)
ReplyDeleteIm not bashing, I think both consoles are great but in my opinion the games listed r the only worthy games coming out for the 360. and from the looks of it Mass Effect(most likely) and then splinter cell (less so) are coming to the PS3 at one point. PS3 is on the rise and EA has a close relationship with them, this generation. I know that game would sell well on the Station, its just a matter of when.oh and another good game is alan wake but that could be debatable.
ReplyDeleteI can play most of those 360 exclusives for free when i download them onto my pc.
ReplyDeleteSaves me money to buy the ps3 exclusives.
Read this about WHY PS3 owners say about 360's exclusive games are not like Sony's exclusive games..
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ps3center.net/article/349/2/the-difference-between-a-sony-and-microsoft-exclusive/
This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteI own all three consoles so I wish every game that came out was exclusive to one console or the other. The reason being that exclusive games are usually better than multiplatform games. It seems when developers only have to concentrate on one platform they are able to do more.
ReplyDelete"have you guys ever heard the term CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE? IT MEANS only available on one console."
ReplyDeleteWho the f*ck cares what it means? I tell you! No one! I can play Splinter Cell, Left4Dead 1 & 2, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Gears of War 1 and many more Xbox games with my PC and I will never have to buy Xbox for those games. But please tell me, how are you going to play God of War 3, Uncharted 2, MAG, AGENT and others with your PC or Xbox? You can't!
sorry to break it for 360 fanboys. but splinter cell, mass effect and l4d 2 r not 360 exclusives.
ReplyDeletei dont have a 360 and im playing l4d 2. how? i bought it for pc. i'll also be playing mass effect 2 and splinter even tho i dont havea 360 cuz i'll be getting it for pc
u 360 fanboys just dont get it. the point is ppl dont need to go out and buy a 360 to play those game. its not a system mover, for it to be a system mover u have to out and buy that particular console to play that 1 game. every house have a god dam pc, ppl w/o a 360 can play these games w/o having to shell out money for a 360
thats what get u 360 fanboys, u cant do that w/ ps3 exclusive. its a true exclusive, u HAVE to buy a ps3 to play games like kz2, uncharted 2, demons souls, gow3, lbp, etc. it move system cuz ppl have to buy ps3 to play those game. if u still deny it after i gave u all this irrefutable factual evidence or get butthurt over this, ur a 360 fanboy
lol.....your gonna look like a dumb ass when 2 of the 3 games go to PS3 late next year.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows Mass Effect 2 is coming. Splinter Cell will be like all the other 360 "exclusives" and will be on the PS3 a year later with more content.
Oh, just wondering why you quoted the Splinter Cell guys but not the Mass Effect guys? Why is that?
360 fanboys, listen up...
ReplyDeleteL4D2 and Mass Effect 2 ARE NOT EXCLUSIVES. The PC is a console as well so therefore the games are multiplatform. This is the same for all of your so-called exclusives. if a PS3 fan has a decent PC, they can play those games without a 360.
You guys have no exclusives! Exclusives mean that they're exclusive to ONE platform!
I love how all the 360 games are crap when they are not coming to the PS3. But what gamers dont understand it about sells. Mass Effect a big seller, Gears 1&2 is a big seller. Most of the big PS3 games sell but not as big as they should. Look at Imfamous, it just sold 1.2 million. That good but as much as it was praised. If not mistaken, L4D2 already sold (i believe i read it on N4G) close to 2 million.Games sell well on the 360 that why they make games on that system
ReplyDelete^ how does what microsoft put in its pocket effect you.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually currently reading an article of the differences between a 360 exclusive and a PS3 exclusive and they are saying things like 'a 360 exclusive is a game that is on PC and 360 and people that say they are exclusives are just jealous fanboys' which I agree with. Gears of War is not GoW! God of War came first! Say a new game comes out next year on PS3 and say COD (Call of Duty) has been a 360 exclusive (like Halo not like most of the ones on this list!) called Constance of Depression and it got really high reviews and it is fresh in everyones mind would you call that game COD? NO! I've proved my point abput Gears of War and GoW (God of War) and for that game I can hope it comes to PC or I can just wait til Unreal Tournament 3 comes out and download the 3rd person mod. And I already have Left 4 Dead 2 on PC and trust me it is better on PC! Trust me! All Valve games you should play on PC or not really play at all! And Splinter Cell Conviction looks awesome especially now they have announced that there will be a multiplayer mode but I believe that is on PC so it is not a real exclusive as I was saying! And the same said for Mass Effect 2 and I've already pre-ordered the CE on PC. Only one of these will be a real exclusive and Gears 3 will take Epic Games to the death! If they are using Natal that is. Imagine that! You're playing Gears 3 and you're trying to roll, HOW THE FUCK? And if they add voice control, then we all know how Tom Clancy End Wars sold don't we?
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of homosexual 360 fangirls out today, most of whom obviously don't know what the word exclusive is. If a so - called 360 exclusive is available on the PC then it's NOT an exclusive you freaking retards. How thick can you people be???
ReplyDeleteCan Gran Turismo 5 be played on PC? How about Demon's Souls, Heavy Rain, God Of War 3, Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2? The answer is no. THAT is what exclusive means, you can't get it anywhere else.
This just goes to show how pathetic Xbox 360 gaming has become - you idiots have to brag about multi - platform titles because you don't want to face the fact that the word exclusive does not exist as far as the 360 is concerned.
I think Mass Effect may come to the PS3. There have been more hints towards it than any other game on the list. Plus, BioWare made a PS3 game, did well on it, and are developing PS3 games now. EA is in trouble and needs more money, and BioWare isn't like Valve.
ReplyDeletelol just ignore 360 fangirls. they are getting VERY desperate, most of their good so call exclusives (mass effect 2, splinter cell) are on pc which all ps3 only owners can enjoy on their pc (every household have a pc), ps3 beating them in sales, psn getting netflix and facebook (even tho we have it since the start with our built in web browser), most their exclusive are timed and we get it later with more content (star ocean 4,ninja gaiden sigma 2, etc) 360 fangirls are now grasping for straws
ReplyDeleteseriously microsoft if u going to throw away money, throw it in ur first party dev so that ur exlusive actually stay exclusive instead of throwing millions at 3rd party for timed exclusive.
I am a fan of the splinter cell series, when i found out that it'll only be available on xbox and pc, i was dissapionted, but everything is fine now. I accepted the fact that i would never own another splinter cell game again. also, with great games coming to the ps3, i don't mind if i can't play that game.
ReplyDeleteMicrosoft exclusive? No prob, I have a 360! Playstation exclusive? Pffft, I own a PS3! Wii exclusive......well you get the idea. I don't have a problem with exclusives nor will I ever. Fanboys only hurt themselves so at the end of the day when I'm playing my exclusives on any one of my systems I could give two licks about who's missing out on what. So go ahead and be angry, hate if you must and try to justify your point any way you like cause the truth is I'm not the one missing out! Happy Happy Joy Joy!
ReplyDeleteHey people. When a game comes out for Xbox 360 and PC its still considered an exclusive. Who owns over 85% of operating systems on all PC's in the world? Oh yeah thats Microsoft. Who owns Xbox 360? Oh yeah thats Microsoft. So you can say that those games that are coming out for only PC and 360 are MICRSOFOT exclusives. Sony doesnt see any profit and neither does Nintendo.
ReplyDeletethere not that manny good games for 2010 line up there only 5 or very good one i will name a couple GOW3 GT5 FF AND MAYBE MAG LETS SEE HOW THE OTHER GAMES DO....COREY
ReplyDeletethere like 5 or 6 games that are going to be very good i will name couple GOW3 GT5 FF AND MAYBE MAG THE OTHER GAMES WE WILL HAVE TO SEE IF THEY DO GOOD......HI COREY
ReplyDeleteNone of those games that were listed has any appeal to me so it really does not matter.
ReplyDeleteIf it is on PC (which will be the BETTER) version... then in no way is a game exclusive!!!
ReplyDeleteL4D2 sucks, World at War: Nazi zombies is better, fu Valve!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't see how you can call Mass Effect 2 or Splinter Cell Conviction an exclusive, it's on PC and so many PS3 gamers will have access to it anyway.
ReplyDeletelol, three of those games aren't even exclusive and one isn't even announced
ReplyDeleteAlso get a 360 if you want the better version of Bayonetta.
ReplyDelete^ and SC and ME2, LMAO
ReplyDeletefirst of all ubisoft have released there takings and are losing money u think that it will be exclusive,
ReplyDeleteea spent a bucketload of money for no reason is nw losing money they sell more on ps3 what do u think will happen plus the pc exclusive ramble microsoft do not make a penny from p.c games released by third parties etc because they dnt claim royalties
hmm w/e i have a gaming pc which i love 10x better then my PS3 360 and Wii. Yes i have them all and if it comes out on pc i get it if not i will get it on one of the consoles.
ReplyDeleteoh and forgot to mention but this is low key and look it up but there's news spreading that bluray is coming to the next xbox for the halo rights
ReplyDeletei wish people would stop using blu ray as an excuse . it may have more storage but the graphics chips are responsible for the graphics no blu ray . the blu ray player is a first gen and is a reason for slow loading times on ps3 .
ReplyDeletethe 360 has been using the same game engines for a couple of years now when the new game engine is used on 360 people will see how silly there statements are
oh and by the way slow loading times think about u say we have to install games but if you dnt then it increases the chance of getting rrod so either way u have to install 2
ReplyDeleteI agree with Left 4 Dead 2 on account of Valve's stubborn refusal to develop for the PlayStation 3 and with Gears of War 3 on account that Microsoft published the previous two games and certainly will try to publish future games in the series because it's a huge franchise now.
ReplyDeleteBut I wouldn't be surprised to see Splinter Cell: Conviction and Mass Effect 2 on the PS3. Mostly on account that all the other games in the Splinter Cell series are multiplatform and the publisher for Mass Effect 2 is Electronic Arts which also owns the IP, and they treat the consoles pretty fairly without preference over the other.
I'm looking forward to SC:C, M.E. 2 but GoW 3 not sure it's coming out till the next Xbox. I don't see anything on the ps3 that i care for since, most of the good games are either on both systems or 360 exclusives.. FF XIII, MGS: Rising are good examples..
ReplyDeleteI say let Microsoft keep Gears of Lag and why would I want L4D on my PS3 its made by a bunch of lazy assess, yes Ubisoft did say that Splinter Cell: Conviction would be a 360 exclusives but they didnt say that the next Splinter Cell game would be, And who knows maybe the guys at BioWare might want to try making a game for the PS3 so dont count it out.
ReplyDeleteAnd this whole disscussion is a waste of time most of the games listed are also on PC so how can these games be a 360 exclusive when there on another platform.
So 360 Fanboys it looks like your left with Halo, Halo wars, Gears 2, Viva pinata, Forza Motorsport 3, have fun with you exclusives.
W00t! I <3 my 360 games!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the games are for PC also because, GASP!, Microsoft basically owns those too!! Womp-womp!
<3 Mass Effect and L4D2
correction, splinter cell conviction is not only on the 360 its also on the PC like most 360 "exclusives"
ReplyDeletewhy have both ubisoft and bioware refused to deny said claims?
everytime there asked, they say yes its possiable for said game to come to the ps3.
i dont hear GG saying that about KZ.
i dont hear insomniac saying that about R&C.
i dont hear naughty dog saying that about uncharted.
I'm sure you could buy a gaming computer if you wanted to get 360 'exclusive' games. Or, you could just play the games on a console that costs 1/3 the price. With the money saved you could actually buy a Mac and have the best of all worlds. It would be tough to have L4D2 on PS3. The system would have no problem handling it, buy PSN needs a lot of work before I'd trust 4 players jumping in and out of an online co-op game without interruption.
ReplyDeleteL4D2 is not an exclusive. Neither is Mass Effect 2. Console exclusivity is a load of shit, it can still be played on another platform, end of story. And this comes from someone that owns only a 360 this gen.
ReplyDeleteAgreed with above post.
ReplyDelete"Who owns over 85% of operating systems on all PC's in the world? Oh yeah thats Microsoft. Who owns Xbox 360? Oh yeah thats Microsoft. So you can say that those games that are coming out for only PC and 360 are MICRSOFOT exclusives"
ReplyDeleteThe Difference Between a Sony and Microsoft Exclusive
It's time put the age old exclusive argument to rest, if a game is available on one platform only, it's exclusive, if not, it's not exclusive and it's as simple as that.

"If not mistaken, L4D2 already sold (i believe i read it on N4G) close to 2 million."
ReplyDeletePC + 360. 360 version sold about one million copies.
"I'm sure you could buy a gaming computer if you wanted to get 360 'exclusive' games."
ReplyDeleteOr you could just update your home computer with a dirt cheap 3D card equalling same amount graphics power than 360's ancient GPU :)
"buy PSN needs a lot of work before I'd trust 4 players jumping in and out of an online co-op game without interruption."
ReplyDeleteHow come? Do you think that PS3 has no games with 4 players coop? Resistance 2 has a 8 players coop, LittleBigPlanet, Borderlands, Call of Duty 5, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Operation Flashpoint 2, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Sacred 2, White Knight Chronicles and many more have 4 players coop.
I think is irresponsible from sites like this to call 360 exclusives to games that can be played on PC with usually much better versions
ReplyDeleteyou can try saying "non-PS3 games" if you like but not exclusives because they're not, it's a lie
if you care about the quality of the journalism on your site you should start doing things the right way, even if most other sites are doing it wrong way
since the site is not fully up yet you have a chance to start on the right foot and not follow the pack
360 has its share of great exclusives that require you to own the console to play them, like Halo 3, Fable 2, Forza 3, Halo 3 ODST and a few more
and it's disrespectful to those games and its developers and fans to call exclusives to other games that are not
to the site's writer/editor:
ReplyDeletea good analogy to this is the correct spelling of the leader of Al Qaeda, the correct way to write it is "ben Laden", the first word with an "e" and no capital letter (you can google this)
after 9/11 most people started spelling it wrong (Bin Laden) and then everyone keep doing it, of course most people don't know it, but some do and don't care, and minority of sites and news papers spell it the right way
so now that you know the right way, if you have to write that guy's name would write it the right away or would you do it the wrong way so you won't call attention and have to explain yourself?
the same goes for "360 exclusives", which are games only available on 360 and not on PC, knowing the correct way, would you still call exclusives to games that can be played on PC even if you know that it's wrong? or would you do it the right way and thus pissing off some 360 owners?
there's always the right way and the easy way, which one will you choose?
I'm bookmarking this article so I can embarrass you by posting the link on every forum and comment I can find when the news comes about Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction on PS3
