New Super Mario Bros. Wii launch trailer goes live, shows mischief

Super Mario Bro. Wii is coming out this week, and it's a known fact that the game will sell extremely well. In fact, Reggie said he believes it will sell more copies than Modern Warfare 2 will sell on the Xbox 360; and that my friends is no small order. Reggie said all he needed was enough time, at least until January's NPD and surely their game would have sold more by then. Whatever you say Reggie, we don't doubt you for one second.

The video by the way looks extremely awesome, miles better than the demo shown at E3 earlier this year.

Reggie: Super Mario Bro. Wii Will outsell 360 version of Modern Warfare 2

Think Modern Warfare 2 will be the only game selling extremely well this Christmas? Think again, because according to Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime, they have an upcoming blockbuster of their own. On top of that, he believes the title will outsell the XBox 360 version of Modern Warfare 2 by February 2010, when the NPD numbers roll in.

In a recent interview on GTTV, Reggie predicted the outcome.

GTTV: Is this thing [Super Mario Wii] going to outsell Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360?

" Absolutely, I say that unequivocally," Reggie said confidently. "Now, you got to give me the entire holiday selling season right? So let's take it all the way through the January NPD data, yes I'll put that stake in the ground."

GTTV: Is it going to be close?

"Sure it's going to be close. Modern Warfare is a great title, as a gamer I look forward to it."

Super Mario Bros. Wii dated for North America

On November 15th, the popular brothers will take on bowser yet again on a the predictable quest to save the princess. There's no release date set for Japan, but hey, why can't they wait once in every blue moon? This should be great!

Another Mario Game In The Works

Is anyone surprised? The franchise is Nintendo's biggest cash cow, and there's a lot more milk to drain from the never aging plumber.

Voice actor Charles Martinet, has tweeted that there is a new game in the works involving Mario. Many would conclude that it must be concerning Galaxy 2, or Super Mario Bros. Wii, but Charles said it's a whole new game.

"Awesome new Mario game! And it's not NSBM Wii, and it's not Galaxy 2, but it's going to be crazy fun!"
