In Australia, PSPgo sold a measly 1,000 units in first week

In some Regions, the PSPgo is a hit, in others, well, it's a flop. Australia is one of those places that's seeing the PSPgo perform poorly at launch.

The New digital download only handheld is praised by Sony as the next step in moving forward the games industry into the digital age, and according to Michael Ephraim, managing director of Sony Computer Entertainment Australia, the weak debut does not deter them at all.

"Clearly we haven't done massive numbers but it's not something we're concerned about... Because there are still some issues that we need to work through," Ephraim said.

I always knew it'd be a tough for the PSPgo, it's travelling roads that have not been tread before, therefore, unexpected bumps, and potholes are imminent.

Always, it's a tough job trying to move complacent people to a place they've never been before; resistance is a given in these situations, but slowly, though folks might be skeptical, the digital age will finally hit the gaming industry, and there'll be no going around it.

Until then, be strong Sony, stick to your plan, most will be happy you did.
