Online Retailers boycott PC version of Modern Warfare 2

There's a mandatory install of valve's Steamworks that's included in the PC version of Modern Warfare 2, and online retailers are not happy.

Direct2drive said they won't be selling the game. Yeah, you heard right.

"We don't believe games should force the user to install a Trojan Horse," the representative told Kotaku.

Direct2drive is owned by IGN and it isn't the only service pulling the plug: Impulse and Gamersgate are also boycotting the highly anticipated title.

D2D said they will not sell any game bundled in such a manner until Valve has "decoupled its marketplace" from Steam's other services.

It's not looking good, more through the link.
