Legendary composer leaves Konami after 16yrs

The composer behind Silent Hill's trademark sounds, Akira Yamaoka, has left Konami after 16 years according to Aeropause.

Yamaoka composed the music for every Silent Hill title except Silent Hill: Play Novel for GBA and "Esperandote" in the first game, which was written by Rika Muranaka.

The news comes from a very reliable source inside Konami.

  1. NOOOOO!!!! Akira's music was one of the best things about the Silent Hill franchise...

  2. Konami probably wasn't paying him enough?
