PC version of Batman: Arkham Asylum pushed to September

Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 simulteanously Tuesday August 25th. But all you PC loyalists will have to wait till September 18th to get Arkham back under control. The PC version's delay is most likely due to the confirmation of NVIDIA's Physx support for the game, which enables thick clouds to spew down corridors, cobwebs to cling and tear, stone pillars will crumble, wall tiles will chip etc. It's a wait worthy of your patience, since NVIDIA's graphics card will boost the games visuals substantially.

This Summer haven't produced many good games at all, so August 25th can't get here soon enough. I know, you can't wait to smack the laugh off the joker's face. But be warned, it won't be that easy.

Ubi Soft suffers steep declines, delays Splinter Cell: Conviction until 2010

Hence the continued demise of the once stellar 2009 lineup. Ubi Soft announced the delay with an array of disappointing financial reports. In fact the company said Monday that it missed fiscal Q1 guidance by 12%, reporting a 51% drop in sales to 83 million Pounds or $113.71 million for the quarter ending June 30th. Ubi Soft attributed the poor results to slow sales on the Nintendo DS and back-catalog PS3 and Xbox360 games, and a market that was “poorer than anticipated.” Ubi Soft chief Yves Guillemot:

"We are disappointed that we have to postpone the release of several major games but we consider that this choice is the best one in the long-term interests of Ubisoft," Guillemot continued. "...The excellent response to our games at E3, as well as the high buzz generated for titles such asAssassin's Creed 2, Splinter Cell Conviction and Avatar, reinforce our belief that the company can achieve strong growth in the second half of the fiscal year."

So another one is lost. But you’re patient right? You could wait till 2010 can’t you? No?
