Thirsty Conversations: Sunday Edition

On Friday night, after having dinner with my wife and some friends at the local IHOP, we left getting ready to drive home only to find that our car was gone. It was the most unreal experience I ever had because up to that point no one had stolen anything from me, so the jump from having none of your possessions to my car being robbed was major. But I'm not complaining. The cops came, they did their job and we're awaiting some results.

Yes, I did feel messed up, and every now and then my mind strays and suddenly I'm asking God why; after all it's a $23,000 car. But what I've come to realize is that God allow certain things to happen so we can be built up as stronger human beings. You might ask what does my car being wrongfully taken away from me have to do with personal growth, to which my answer will be I have no clue. But God's ways are above ours and I won't complain. There are millions of people around the world who don't know where their next meal will be coming from; my refrigerator is loaded.

Word of Wisdom

There are a few situations in your life that will push you to the edge and and tempt you, even cause you to complain, but a quick look around and you'll suddenly realize that there a way more things to give thanks for. You have life and things can and will get better.

I'm going to Church, if you're not too busy, I'd love your company.

Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

Thirsty Conversations: Sunday Edition

It's another beautiful Sunday all over the world. Now you might say this statement is false because it's raining or snowing or hail is pounding your area. But these things don't make a day good or bad; it's the attitude we take towards it that determines the outcome.

The very rain you abhor is adored by someone else, and the snow you can't stand is welcomed by many. Think about it and try and make today the best day of your life.

Word Of Wisdom

When you're in a tough situation, your attitude will determine the final outcome. Learn to be at peace when it seems a storm is raging all around you. If you can accomplish that, then most likely you will come through said storm a stronger, wiser and more focused person; one who's stood the test of time and can now be a blessing to others around you. Be Blessed.

Oh, I'm off to Church, care to join me? Alright, thanks for you company.

Thirsty Conversations: Sunday Edition

Look outside, it's another beautiful Sunday. We have life, breath, friends, family, and yeah we have our favorite pass-time, playing video games.

So here's your Sunday word of encouragement:

Don't worry about tomorrow, let tomorrow worry about itself. Instead focus on making this day the best one you've ever had. Besides the troubles of the present are enough to handle, why add that of another time to it?

Enjoy your life to the fullest, and lay hold of the many blessings provided.

Thirsty Conversations: Sunday Edition

Sometimes we make mistakes in life that cost us a lot. We wish we could turn back the hands of time, start fresh and do things differently. But we can't. That's just the way it is.

However, there's always the chance to start all over again with a different perspective and someone to lead and guide us on through a clearer path.

I am a born again Christian, and yes I'm also an avid gaming journalist. From since I can remember I played games and it's actually a dream come true to be doing this as a job.

Today is Sunday and I'm going to Church. Why don't you join me and get to know the one who's changed my life and gave me an everlasting future of joy and peace? Come along.

After Church, share your thoughts here: The Official GamesThirst Talk Lounge.

Thirsty Conversations: Sunday Edition

This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. That's a song my mother would always sing to me, and even now that I'm grown, when I go to the house, she's still singing her favorite tune.

So I'll honor God for giving me the opportunity to see yet another beautiful day by spending some time with him at church. It's thanksgiving; Care to join me? Great! Come along.
